Preschool Journal: Snakes

At parent-teacher conferences recently, we learned that each of the students at my son’s preschool spends some time each day working on their “journal.” They do a drawing and the teacher writes down whatever the student says about it.

By far the most prevalent subject in my son’s journal was snakes. I’d just like to point out that I don’t thinkย he’s ever seen a snake in real life, except from behind glass, so I guess that free magazine from the Missouri Department of Conservation really made an impression on him.

Snakes.

Snakes.

Snakes.

They're squirmy snakes.

Stay tuned for more exciting entries from the Preschool Journal. ย What do you think — Is he obsessed with snakes or does he just like to scribble?

  1. Oh, Boy! I hope he just likes to scribble. I know there is a reason for snakes to be on this earth, but I do not like to even look at pictures of them!
The snake barn is very ingenious! LOL!
    Love that they journal!

  2. Haha. Little boys are so funny! My son goes through his stages of being obsessed with certain things too. Right now, he’s into watching old, classic cartoons on Youtube. Sounds like your little guy has a great imagination though!

  3. I love this! I think it’s so cool to watch their imaginations run wild. I got a picture from Mads’ school yesterday and it was just her scribbling. I so wonder what she was thinking when she drew it… ๐Ÿ™‚
