Happy early Thanksgiving! This post is a little bit silly and a little bit serious. I’m thankful for…
- Two little boys who are full of energy
- Antibiotics.
- Coffee. (Coffee coffee coffee)
- A warm, dry place to live.
- A husband who’s recently rediscovered his love of cooking.
- Nights that both kids go to sleep on time.
- Somehow getting used to waking up at 5:20am.
- Tea time in the afternoon.
- Boot camp at work (Relax… NEVER!)
- Hot cocoa on cold days.
- Handknit wool socks.
- The Zen of knitting
- Gas prices dropping.
- My boss and co-workers.
- Hugs from my boys
- Being a government employee so I get days off that no one else in the family does, and I can nerd out at home by reorganizing, knitting, reading, watching girly TV shows, and cooking up a storm.
- Great friends in real life and online (like you!)
What are you thankful for this year?
Every day I write a gratitude list. It usually starts with being thankful all of my people are safe and sound! I also say thank you many times a day for big and little things that happen!!!
I am beyond ecstatic and thankful for this past Thursday, Friday, and Saturday’s spectacular, happy wedding festivities for my Stephen and Aubrey, who is now my official chicken! Just a glorious time for all.
My wish is for everyone, everywhere having warm, loving homes like mine for which I am eternally grateful.
Everything we need and want, we have. I am thankful for this internet communicating, too.
Great way to start my day- reading your list! Continued love and happiness for all of us.
Love, SMD’s Momma
What a lovely list! One of my favorite songs is “Give thanks with a grateful heart…” and there are times when I’m just overcome as I list out items of gratitude – both big & small.
Today marks 5 years since my first visit to a “new client/project” site in N. WI – little did I know the journey life would take from that point forward and I’m so thankful that the opportunity arose.

Hands down I’m so thankful for my kids’ health. Just last night one of my little ones had a fever and rash, and I’m hoping it’s contained soon, but it made me think how I’m lucky that THIS is my “nightmare.” That I’m so spoiled with them being healthy that only the occasional cold or fever is what gets me worked up.

I’m so with you on gas prices, even though I didn’t need gas last night the glowing $2.57 on the sign was reason to be thankful!
I’m also thankful for the opportunity to live and work in the place I love so much!

The lower gas prices have been awesome.
I’m a daily grateful lister. Today it’s cozy sweaters, a knee-length down jacket, free coffee at work, and health insurance!

Yes to coffee, gas prices dropping below $3/gallon (what what?!), and your husband loving to cook again. What a relief :). I’m thankful for two kids that keep surprising me, coffee, and the husband who makes it for me sometimes :).

Works for me! but how about you come and finish my assignment that is due tonight for Research Methods. I’m sick of Alexander Pope and The Rape of the Lock and we’re not finished with it yet 🙁 #gradschoolproblems

I am certainly thankful for far more things that I can count, however right now I am going through something that makes me forget for a few seconds. But thankfully, all of the things I am thankful for surround me at all times – so it’s easy to be reminded!

Amen sister! I love the gas prices dropping – FINALLY! I saw the prices at $2-something. Extreme joy! Definitely grateful to be able to be with my family and not have to work, plus getting paid on those days is ultra magical! How do you get up at 5:20?! I can barely wake up at 6AM; I try and I try and I fail and fail. Lol. Happy Hump Day Sarah! -Iva

Great list of thankfuls 🙂 My husband is a bread maker, he loves to make bread, which is good and bad, but I’m thankful for it.
I’m thankful for so many things. I start to list things, and then something will pop up that I cannot believe I left out.
Coffee is always on the list, and NEVER EVER forgotten 🙂
